Currently, knowing and/or establishing signs of the new visual horizons of the art produced in Latin America becomes a somewhat complex process. However, in the midst of these cultural, political and even climatic changes, we must understand that art and its various manifestations are closely linked to the context in which it is developed; The creator, through his works, only reflects and echoes his most pressing expressive needs through metaphors and very personal languages. At this point is located the production of Daniela Marin who, from her role as an artist, presents a particular visual vocabulary, marked by a sacred understanding of color, shape, textures and irregular geometry; always, everything, reinterpreted by the conscious gesture of a symbology that brings us closer to its roots: Latin America and the Caribbean.

Daniela Marin, restless creator, presents “Barotropic”, her most recent personal exhibition, where she fulfills her destiny by continuing to build a visual imaginary committed to the universe of abstraction in Peru. It is here where I remember the words of Marta Traba when she writes about this trend in art; Abstraction, he tells us, “is born from the desire to freely express emotions and sensations, thus justifying, with the spiritual force of empty space, the stain, the brushstroke [I would add, Marin's textures and three-dimensional objects]. That is why there is a repeated poetic tone that is seen in groups or artists individually considered.” Daniela's abstraction, in particular, does not deny or oppose reality; On the contrary, it approaches and penetrates it, being a response to all its multiple states.

That is why, in his works and sketches, a personal and contemplative vision of nature, trees, the movement of leaves with the wind, swirls, rain and sunsets is developed. That is to say, the entire landscape [and context] that Daniela Marin has around her is a source of inspiration and a source of life for all her production.

Barotropic is an atmospheric phenomenon that now becomes a connection with life, with the essence, where only the present and chromatic harmony are experienced. A pictorial aesthetic that was born from the artist's need to express what she never found through words; in that immense space of silence, stillness and contemplation, where our creativity and our origin are.
